BPI expands Financial Education efforts, conducts Wellness Session for GenSan LGU employees

As part of its continuing commitment to promote financial literacy across the country, the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) recently conducted a Financial Wellness Session for more than 40 employees of the General Santos City Local Government Unit (LGU). Financial Wellness Coach Lyqa Maravilla l ed the session, equipping public servants with essential knowledge in personal finance management, with a focus on effective saving strategies, budgeting techniques, and making informed investment decisions. The 39th Kadayawan Festival was truly a feast for the senses, offering tourists and content creators a dream experience as they immersed themselves in the rich local culture during Davao City’s “King of Festivals,” powered by PLDT Home. From August 7 to 18, the Kadayawan Festival provided local and international visitors with the opportunity to experience the vibrant colors, sounds, and tastes of the region. The festival highlighted the 11 tribes or indigenous peoples of Davao, including the Bagobo-Tagabawa, Sama, Ata, Tausug, Bagobo, Iranun, Kagan, Maranao, Matigsalug, Obu Manuvu, and Maguindanaon. This modern, urban adaptation of their traditional celebration honored a bountiful harvest.
