HELLO! 

So here’s to making sure this space gets the love it deserves this year! 💗 And speaking of the year ahead—2025 is definitely starting off with a bang for our humble blogging community here in General Santos City: the Sox Bloggers ! Yaaaay! 

We have officially leveled up!  We’ve rebranded and are now called the Sox Bloggers Society (SBS)! Our mission remains the same—to uplift the vibrant culture, tourism, and stories of Region 12, but with a fresh new look that represents our continued commitment to promoting SOX through quality content and we have expanded membership as well. We’ve officially inducted the first set of officers, and it was such a kilig moment for all of us. Yes, we’re officially official now! 😄 Charot! Actually, The recent oath-taking ceremony was not just a formality; it was a celebration of how far SBS has come and where we’re headed next. 

SBS has been shaping the digital landscape of Region 12 since 2008, thanks to the vision and dedication of our founders, spearheaded by the mother hen of GenSan blogging, Avel Manansala of GenSan News Online. What started as a mission to highlight the beauty and progress of SOX—at a time when online searches were flooded with negative news—has now evolved into a strong network of storytellers dedicated to uplifting our region. More than just a group of content creators, SBS is a community driven by purpose. We aim to create content that inspires, informs, and promotes the best of SOX, from tourism and local businesses to culture and lifestyle. 

As for me, I am beyond honored to be elected as the Vice President for Internal Affairs, a role that comes with a lot of exciting responsibility! In this position, I’ll be focusing on membership growth, managing our new SoxBee’s Continuous Learning Program, and supporting our members in creating better, more impactful content. So help me, God! hahaha!

This rebrand wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and vision, not to mention the amazing original members who’ve helped shape Sox Bloggers Society over the years. And with our new officers, the future of SBS is looking so orange and bright! 😛
