GENSAN CELEBRATES KALILANGAN FESTIVAL 2018

MagKalilangan Kita! The Local Government of General Santos City, together with   Mindanao State University, is now at heat of preparations for the staging of this year's  Kalilangan Festival in commemoration of the City's 79th founding anniversary. Bannering the theme " Cultivating Cultures, Inspiring New Ways, " the week-long festival kicks off today, February 22, with a civic-military parade dubbed as "Hudyat Parada" . This will be participated by representatives from the academe, the private and public sectors. Simultaneously, Barangayan at the Oval grounds will also open.   DAYUN KAMO  (Tuloy Kayo). As of press time, Birit Queen Jona Viray has already set foot on Gensan soil. She will be joined later by   PGT Grand Winner  Marcelito Pomoy for a powerful performance during the grand opening ceremony tonight  at the Oval Grand Stand.  The festival week also includes a series of fashion shows and works...

I don't have a single drop of Chinese blood in my veins but being in my China (with that, I refer to our local Chamber)  for quite some time now, I've come to embrace some of their traditions already ( Wow, I belong! ❤) like celebrating the Chinese New Year- one of the biggest celebrations in  the Chinese Culture. Each year has a specific Chinese Zodiac Animal and this year is the year of the Earth Dog.
