Snack and beverage maker Universal Robina Corporation (URC) welcomed the new year by sharing and celebrating joy with its partner foundations. In collaboration with Robinsons Supermarket and Metro Supermarket, URC held its “Share-lebrate Joy UR Way” event to give kids a fun movie screening experience.

URC delighted kids from SOS Children’s Village, Norfil Foundation, Grace to Be Born and the House of Refuge, through various fun activities, special gifts, and an exciting movie screening at Ayala Center in Cebu, and at Opus Mall in Quezon City, last January.  Before the screening started, the kids were invited to join the energizing Hot Potato Hustle game, and to happily dance with URC’s adorable mascots – Goodday Gogo in Cebu, Goodday Ori, and Cloud 9 Captain Choco in Manila.

When asked about their favorite character in the movie, Mufasa was the hands-down favorite.  “I loved how Mufasa values his home and family so much,” said Kurt, one of the young kids in attendance. This was echoed by other kids like Zyra, who praised Mufasa for being “very brave and strong, and defending his friends and family all the time.”

 The sounds of happiness echoed through the halls of the cinema as the kids excitedly talked about the movie with each other and their guardians. They also received goodie bags filled with URC’s delicious snacks and drinks, Jack ‘n Jill Knots, Jack n Jill Roller Coaster, Jack n Jill Nips and Ready to Drink Beverages such as C2, Goodday, Cloud 9 and more.

URC not only aims to delight everyone with good food choices but also offer people fun and memorable experiences through its activities. With events like “Share-lebrate Joy UR Way”, URC hopes to give back to communities and give them joyful experiences that they can cherish.

This initiative supports the protection of this critical water source through sustained reforestation and maintenance efforts over the next five years. The Adopt-A-Site project encourages stakeholder involvement in watershed conservation, ensuring a sustainable water supply for future generations. Today I celebrated Valentine’s Day with the Gensan Doctors Hospital, Inc. as they inaugurated their Women’s Center at the GSDH Cancer Center Building ! This would be the first dedicated women’s center in Region 12 : a groundbreaking facility designed to provide comprehensive healthcare services tailored to the needs of women at every stage of life. As a woman in my prime, I know how important it is to take care of our health—physically, mentally, and emotionally. This new center is truly a gift to us all. 

The state-of-the-art center features a 50° wide-angle Tomosynthesis Mammogram Mammomat . This upgraded machine offers a more detailed and precise 3D image, reducing false positives and improving early detection. It’s faster, safer, and provides clearer results to help us stay ahead of any health concerns- a game changer , what more can I say!

So here’s to making sure this space gets the love it deserves this year! 💗 And speaking of the year ahead—2025 is definitely starting off with a bang for our humble blogging community here in General Santos City: the Sox Bloggers ! Yaaaay! 

We have officially leveled up!  We’ve rebranded and are now called the Sox Bloggers Society (SBS)! Our mission remains the same—to uplift the vibrant culture, tourism, and stories of Region 12, but with a fresh new look that represents our continued commitment to promoting SOX through quality content and we have expanded membership as well. We’ve officially inducted the first set of officers, and it was such a kilig moment for all of us. Yes, we’re officially official now! 😄 Charot! Actually, The recent oath-taking ceremony was not just a formality; it was a celebration of how far SBS has come and where we’re headed next. 

SBS has been shaping the digital landscape of Region 12 since 2008, thanks to the vision and dedication of our founders, spearheaded by the mother hen of GenSan blogging, Avel Manansala of GenSan News Online. What started as a mission to highlight the beauty and progress of SOX—at a time when online searches were flooded with negative news—has now evolved into a strong network of storytellers dedicated to uplifting our region. More than just a group of content creators, SBS is a community driven by purpose. We aim to create content that inspires, informs, and promotes the best of SOX, from tourism and local businesses to culture and lifestyle. 

As for me, I am beyond honored to be elected as the Vice President for Internal Affairs, a role that comes with a lot of exciting responsibility! In this position, I’ll be focusing on membership growth, managing our new SoxBee’s Continuous Learning Program, and supporting our members in creating better, more impactful content. So help me, God! hahaha!

This rebrand wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and vision, not to mention the amazing original members who’ve helped shape Sox Bloggers Society over the years. And with our new officers, the future of SBS is looking so orange and bright! 😛

Wow, it’s been a long while since I last wrote here on my site! Feels so good to finally get back to it. 💗

Well, life has been a whirlwind—between my roles as a multi-hatted working mom, my fitness journey, MICE adventures, and the usual grind with my chamber engagements, there’s just been so much to juggle. But here I am, ready to breathe life into this platform again! Awaw! Literally, with my fingers crossed!

Looking ahead, I’m hoping to share more of what’s going on in my world, especially those moments where the hustle meets the heart. From new chapters in my fitness journey (because yes, it’s a journey that keeps evolving), to exciting gigs in the MICE landscape (where I get to connect and create experiences that matter), and of course, my ongoing work with the local chamber—I’ve got plenty to share with you all. Being a working mom means balancing a lot, but it’s also a reminder of how much I love what I do. Whether it’s managing events, diving deep into personal growth, or just trying to stay active amidst the chaos, because at forty -eight, I'm still a work in progress. Its true what they say, never stop learning and growing! And as much as it’s a lot to take on, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.Nowp!
