Playing Lady Joker

Image
So I dressed up as Lady Joker last Friday for my judging duty at the SM Monsterrific Halloween Costume Contest!   In previous years, I’ve come as an elf and a witch , but this time I went for the easiest character I could pull off—and had so much fun with it! 😄 I always enjoy joining SM’s Halloween festivities and dressing up for the kids. We had over 50 adorable little monsters this year—witches, clown creatures, Rubies, superheroes, and more!  It’s always such a treat seeing their creativity and confidence shine on stage!  The Look: Thrifted necktie, P50 Thrifted Red Blazer, P150 Hand-me down Red Calypso Trousers Lululemon Green Sports Bra Mocha Signature Vest from Tiktok A pair of red GIBI Boots from ze daughter Channel Hand Bag from a friend. If there’s one thing I’ve learned on this journey, it’s that fitness in your 40s isn’t just about looking good. It’s about feeling alive, grounded, and strong enough to show up for the life you love. Turning 49 has been both a celebration and a gentle wake-up call. With events to run, deadlines to meet, communities to serve, pets to feed, a home to keep, and passions that continue to unfold, it’s so easy to put myself last. But I’ve learned that consistency beats intensity.  Like  every  single time.         So I make it a point to carve out pockets of time to move, whether it’s a solid workout at the gym, strengt...
